AstriCon is celebrating its 15th year in Orlando! As the longest-running event devoted to all-things Asterisk, AstriCon celebrates one of the most influential open source telecommunication projects in history and also its future impact on the communications industry.

Mentor for technology-oriented startups and VoIP security and fraud specialist, Eric oversees the day-to-day operations at Cloudonix so the developers can focus on turning caffeine into code. Spanning 30 years' experience in network and communication systems, having served as fraud prevention expert at Humbug Telecom, MCI Communications (Verizon) and Cellcom. Eric co-authored the RFC4864 Local Network Protection for IPv6. Eric has taught practical networking to undergraduate and graduate students at a number of Universities in Israel and the USA, including NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering, Academic College of Tel-Aviv Jaffa and Pace University, NY. Eric holds an MSc in Information Systems, majoring in Telecom, and a BBA in Management Information Systems from Pace University, New York. Eric has vast experience speaking at conferences around the globe on cyber fraud prevention, content security and many more topics. He has published a number of chapters in books on disaster recovery and telecom security, as well as a science fiction book.
