Modern Telecommunications require operators dealing with large databases of numbers ported from original source in order to comply with industry regulations. Moreover choosing to ignore this part can bring serious financial losses due to incorrect termination cost calculations for the sessions handled. In this talk Dan will guide the audience into implementing LCR considering the database of ported numbers as well as supplier statistics into it’s computations in real-time, based purely on open-source components, Asterisk and CGRateS. CGRateS is a battle-tested Enterprise Billing Suite with support for various prepaid and postpaid billing modes.
